Getting started
Checked against the Steam store on 22 October 2026. This page is not a hands-on playthrough. Button-level key bindings are not published, so they are not invented here.
Fart Together is GamesMrkt’s physics co-op game. Two to four players steer the same raft. The store description says every player’s direction, timing, and gas power move that one raft, and that one wrong push can send it off the course.
The developer calls the characters hippos in the Early Access notes: “Hippos steer a shared raft using fart power.”
Install the demo first
Section titled “Install the demo first”The practical way to learn the game before Early Access is the free demo.
- Open the Fart Together Demo on Steam (app 5208630).
- Install it on Windows. The store lists Windows only. macOS and Linux requirements are empty, and there is no phone or tablet version on the Steam page.
- Bring at least one other person. The page describes a 2–4 player game and does not list a single-player mode.
Each person needs the demo on their own Steam account if they want to be in the session together. The demo’s store API entry says it is free.
What Early Access is, and is not
Section titled “What Early Access is, and is not”The full game, app 5117550, is still “coming soon”. SteamDB lists the store release as 29 October 2026, 17:00:00 UTC, which is 30 October 2026, 01:00 in Asia/Taipei.
GamesMrkt’s Early Access answers on the store page say:
- They expect Early Access to last about 2–3 months. That estimate can change.
- The current build is a playable online co-op obstacle course for 2–4 players.
- Xbox and PlayStation DualSense controllers are supported. The category list also includes full controller support, DualShock, and a keyboard-only option.
- Team Race is still in development and is not in this build.
- The full release is planned to add courses, obstacles, modes, characters, and customization. They also say those plans can change.
- They plan to charge less during Early Access than at full release, and Early Access owners get the full release at no extra cost.

How the raft is described
Section titled “How the raft is described”The store copy is the whole public ruleset:
- The raft reacts to the force, direction, and timing of each player.
- Narrow passages, sharp turns, moving obstacles, and hazards that throw the raft off balance are the kinds of tests they describe.
- Sometimes the team needs to speed up, sometimes slow down, and sometimes act at the same moment.
- Their line for it: “The secret isn’t farting harder. It’s farting together at the right time.”
A useful reading of that, not a lab-tested strategy: agree one direction before a tight gap, and don’t all correct at once in different directions. Exact gas management, any stamina meter, and the real key bindings are not documented on the store page. Other guides that name a stamina bar or a key layout are ahead of the public sources. This one will add them only after they can be checked in the demo or a patch note.
Languages
Section titled “Languages”The full game’s store API lists 17 supported languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish - Spain, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese - Brazil, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Dutch, Vietnamese, and Persian.
On the store page, the visible language table marked interface, and did not show full audio or subtitle tracks for the languages in view. Treat these as interface languages unless Steam says otherwise later.
Tags worth knowing
Section titled “Tags worth knowing”The full game is tagged Action, Adventure, Casual, Indie, Racing, Free To Play, and Early Access. Feature tags include online co-op, Steam Cloud, full controller support, and keyboard only. Accessibility tags include camera comfort, custom volume, playable at your own pace, and playable without timed input. Those tags are not a promise about every course.
Family Sharing is on the feature list. SteamDB, the same day, said the unreleased game is excluded from Family Sharing until it releases. See Play with friends before you plan around one copy.
What this guide will not invent
Section titled “What this guide will not invent”- A level list or level count. See Levels.
- Achievement IDs. See Achievements.
- A price.
- An 8-player mode or split-screen. The current store text does not say that. Team Race is explicitly absent.
